So. First things first, hockey's over. Boo! Russia won in the IIHF, made me very happy, the Red Wings won in the NHL, made me curse and yell at the computer. Game 5? Totally sat up until 1 in the morning when it ended watching the scoreboard online. God, I love GOOD hockey.
Next, as an early birthday present, I got (drumroll please) A CAMERA!!!! Not just any camera, a very nice one. Same brand as before (Fujifilm) but deff. better quality. It has all these nifty settings, and flashes, and it's sooooooooo awsome. Not to say my other baby's not good, but it was partly broken (you could zoom in, but not out) which messed up other settings. I haven't had this one even 24 hours and I'm in love with it. Even better, when we go the the Grand Canyon this summer, I can take almost 700 pics A DAY. Very exiting.
Other than that.......I've been terrorising lots of people with my driving. I turn 17 on Friday the 13th, but I just got my permit back in April. And, I drive Stickshift *evil grin* Given lots of people a good fright when they didn't read the signs on the back, and pulled up right behind me on a hill (sticks roll back on hills unless you're careful). Hey, if you're going to be stupid enough to pull of right behind me, you can pay the price.
Oh, and the other part of my birthday present envolves me watching "Snakes on a Plane", by myself. I was very sad to not see any really good R rated movies coming out on my birthday, other wise I would go see one of those. Pity...

Boo, we didn't get to the final.:/ But luckily Russia won!
And now when NHL ended too we just have to wait soooo long until there will be hockey again! How boring is that? :O

I saw some of them...I saw the one where Finland beat the US. I don't have cable, but if I go to the gym, I can watch them there. I sit on the bike for like 2 hours watching. :D

Haha, well it's very hard to describe how it's pronounced! :D You should hear it somewhere though it might sound very funny.:D 'Cause we just say it like it's written, like we say all our words.
We just say it "ää" keeping it longer like "ee" but like I said, it's hard to explain it here.:'D

Doesn't it mean stoat, or weasel?
How do you pronouce a letter with the umlaut over it? I know in German, we say "ä" kind of like "eh" (not quiet, but close)

Yeah, I only realized it when I started following the DEL (Germany's league).
Ah...Well, Kari's nickname used to be Kärppä, since "I used to be really fast" and one day at practice, he bumped into Slava, and Slava said the quote. It was kinda funny, Slava didn't even turn around, he knew who it was. :D

How funny that I didn't notice that before you mentioned it! I mean that the NHL players don't have any ads at all.:O And I've watched hockey since I was a little girl.:'D Oh well..

Heey, by the way, I'm pretty interested by your "Personal Quote." What does it mean or where did it come from? Because the word " Kärppä" is finnish and it means..well, it's a name of one animal and that animal is in the jerseys of my favourite ice hockey team (from whom I've taken the pictures) and the team's name is Oulun Kärpät!
So that's why I was like whaaaat the hell. D
